Terms Of Service

Please read the following terms of service agreement carefully. By accepting our services, you hereby agree to be bound by the terms and all terms incorporated herein by reference. It is the responsibility of you, the user, the customer, or the prospective customer to read the terms and conditions before proceeding. If you do not expressly agree to all of the terms and conditions, then please do not use our services. The terms of this agreement are effective upon agreement to a written estimate. A Helpful Handyman LLC reserves all rights to alter these Terms of Service and if changes are made the customer will be notified of the change. All abirtration will be handled by a third party. Work is considered complete when you are happy with the results and payment has been made. 

Acceptance of Terms

This is a legally binding agreement that shall govern the relationship with our customers who interact with A Helpful Handyman LLC. In the event any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, it will not affect the enforceability of the remaining provisions. These terms are held by the governing laws of Bay and Walton County the State of Florida and the United States of America.

Scope of Work:

The scope of work is listed in this estimate. “ANY” additional work that has not been agreed to within this estimate will be based on availability. We are happy to help but our purpose is to accomplish the task you requested. Additional request for work may cause delays or a need to create a new estimate. In layman’s terms if you ask for additional tasks, we would need to agree to compensation for the work prior to any additional work beyond what is listed here.  

Description of Services offered

We provide repair replace or make new services. Also known as “handyman services”. We will meet with you to discuss the scope of work. An estimate will be provided describing the work and any deviation from the estimate may require a new quote. Adding or changing the scope of work during the project may require additional charges. You acknowledge there is no guarantee of the results or effectiveness of the services rendered. Services shall be executed in a professional manner in accordance with best industry practice. Best efforts will be used to achieve the expected results. 

HOA/Permits/Area Requirements

It is the responsibility of the client/owner to research and provide any necessary permission, permits, or anything else that may be needed towards the request for work performed. Work performed by A Helpful Handyman LLC will be in accordance with current Florida rules and statutes for a handyman. Any work requested governed beyond state rules it is up to the client to notify and provide any necessary paperwork permits or permissions. All permits or permissions are the responsibility of the client. 

Payment

Payment for services rendered will be expected upon completion of work or the due date on the invoice. Work involving materials for use in a project will be paid for by the customer prior to work starting unless other arrangements have been made. Partial payment may be requested for very large projects.  

We provide no warranty unless explicitly written into the estimate. Job deposits are non-refundable and are considered fully earned, as they are intended to cover the administrative costs for receiving the job call, reviewing the job, doing any research, procurement of materials, travel time, and providing an estimate.

If partial work is performed or we incur any costs related to a specific job we will evaluate our costs as it relates to that same specific job and we will seek to reach an agreement with the customer for a refund, whether it is a partial refund or a full refund.

In cases where the work on a specific job is performed to completion, there will be no refunds issued. If there are any problems with the work, we performed we will take necessary action to correct the problems in a timely manner. Pending we cannot agree a third-party arbitrator will be brought in to review and assist in resolving any issues. We reserve the right to cancel all services upon written notification of such cancelation with an explanation as to why the service must be canceled. The customer also has the right to cancel services with written notice. 

Limitation of Liability

A Helpful Handyman LLC carries liability insurance in the case of an unforeseen incident. It would be impossible to foresee events that may require the use of this policy and it is listed here as public notice of insurance. 

Upon making the payment it is assumed the work has been completed to your satisfaction. Upon agreement to begin work, you agree you are accepting these terms of service.   

Client where applicable will provide a comfortable work environment: When working indoors the client agrees to keep the home temperature between 70-73 degrees.
